First, let me clarify that I am not the moderator, admin,
owner, or otherwise affiliated with the majordomo-users
mailing list except as an end user.

I have had so many requests to my work or personal email
addresses asking me "How do I get off the majordomo list?",
that I have created this "canned" reply. One or the other
of the below URLs may help you to get off the list.

#1. MAKE SURE TO SEND YOUR MESSAGE IN PLAIN TEXT. NO HTML!
   a. In Mozilla, Netscape 6 or 7, this setting is under
	Edit>Mail&NewsgroupAccountSettings
	uncheck "compose messages in HTML format"
   b. In Outlook express, the setting is found under
	Tools>Options>Send
	select/check "Plain text" in mail sending format
#2. Send your request to the correct address. DO NOT send
      your request to the list, list-owner, or majordomo-owner
      address. Your request must be sent to majordomo@domain,
      specifically majordomo@greatcircle.com in this case.

For those of you who have done this, and have not yet taken
your name off the list, try clicking the URL below. The URL
below should send the proper request to remove you from the
majordomo-users@greatcircle.com mailing list.

If you do not use a web savy mail client, the key is to write
your message to majordomo@greatcircle.com with nothing in the
subject line, and only the following plain text in the body
of the message;

unsubscribe majordomo-users

If you are not subscribed to the list from the address you
are sending the message from, the body should have one more
piece of information, the address you want unsubscribed;

unsubscribe majordomo-users my.email.address@some.domain.com

Clicking this URL should automate the process for you;

mailto:majordomo@greatcircle.com?body=unsubscribe%20majordomo-users

or if you click the next URL, be sure to replace
"my.email.address@some.domain.com" with the email address
you are trying to unsubscribe.

mailto:majordomo@greatcircle.com?body=unsubscribe%20majordomo-users%20my.email.address@some.domain.com
