What's even more frustrating is that messages to the unmoderated list are now working for me from my internal account.   I made no configuration changes, logged onto my yahoo account, sent a message to the testone list and it got through - I rec'd a copy in my in-box at yahoo.  I then went to my internal account and replied to the email from there, and it got through with no error message - no delivery failure. I also got a copy of this message in my in-box (the list posting again).  I then created a brand new message - not just a reply - and it also got through.  So, what the H is going on here?

It looks like I need some help interpreting the headers and attachments that are being sent back to me with a Message Delivery failure, if I am to approach the email team that actually configures the mailer, conduits, and mx records.    It seems like I've been here before, with the same type of problem.   I turned off moderate (set moderate to no) and took out the entry in the virtuser table, and still get the sender not allowed error message.
Man is this frustrating.

What Roger was asking is if you are sending messages to testone, or
are you sending them to testone-list?

If you send email to testone-list, your rules and configurations
are getting bypassed, meaning no moderation can happen.  You should
also disable outside access to your testone-list alias from the
outside world with a virtusertable shortcircuit that looks like this;

testone-list@mydomain    error:nouser User unknown

Don't forget, when you modify the virtusertable, you must rebuild
the .db version of this table.  On linux, you can cd into /etc/mail
and "make all" or "makemap hash virtusertable < virtusertable".
