> an html stripper ... converts all mails to plain text
We are using "stripmime" for most of the e-lists at Moon Society,
Mars Society, Space Elevator, and other groups.
It seems fine. The only problem I have noticed is if there is
no plain text at all, an empty message still goes through; but
that only happened with some spam which we have since stopped.
You pipe the message through stripmime, in the 'aliases' file, as shown:
>>mars-youth: "|/usr/majordomo/stripmime.pl | usr/majordomo/wrapper resend ...
I don't know how easy it is to install, I did not install it.
It is free. Not sure the best place to download it from, but a search
for 'stripmime download' shows several references.
There is also a 'demime' program, and others, which I have not tried.
I strongly recommend using one of them.
