What is happening is, if a user is subscribed to several lists, and someone cross posts between lists, the user will receive the same message for each of the lists that they are subscribed to that the message was cross-posted to. My users would like to have one message come to them, whether or not it was cross-posted to mulitple lists that they are subscribed to.

Not in either Majordomo 1.x or in Sendmail -- Sendmail invokes
Majordomo's resend command for each list, so there's no tracking, and
Sendmail can't get a view for duplicates elimination.

Majordomo 2, however, will do duplicate suppression.
