"Cannot send directly to programs"

I am relatively new to majordomo and am having some trouble getting it setup
for the first time.

I am using Majordomo  v.1.94.5 w/ Sendmail 8.12.9 and after following the
installation instructions, the 'wrapper config-test' step works fine.

I have made my changes to my aliases file: /etc/mail/alises which are:
majordomo: "|/usr/local/majordomo/wrapper majordomo"

When I send a test message to majordomo@myhost.com, I get an undeliverable
message saying:

   ----- The following addresses had permanent fatal errors -----
"|/usr/local/majordomo/wrapper majordomo"@myhost.com (reason: 550 5.7.1
<"|/usr/local/majordomo/wrapper majordomo"@myhost.com... Cannot mail
directly to programs)

I have searched the web, mailing lists, etc...without luck.

Does anyone have any suggestions or have experienced this problem in the
past?  If so, I would *love* to hear how you handled it.
