I have run perl 5.6.1 and 5.8.0 successfully with majordomo without any issues
on Solaris 8 & 9, and Redhat 8 & 9.  I have not bothered to upgrade my FreeBSD
boxes since 2.2.8.  At 3.0 they dropped support for my SCSI devices and haven't
ported them back in.
