If you use sendmail and the domains attach to be box using CNAME 
records, they will be canonicalized into an address in an A record.  You

must have an A record that matches the sender domain.

Hi,

The thing is, I don't hold the domain records for the second domain.
Another company does. The domain itself and its website is hosted
elsewhere. Emails however, are routed to our mail server.


Not sure if I've misunderstood your answer. Please let me know otherwise
