In using DeMIME to convert HTML and RTF to plaintext, and removing sigs
and attachments, I was starting to think Majordomo was getting someway
to becoming idiotproof..
More fool me..
Is there anyway I can deal with messages from people that don't seem to
understand it's an automated machine they are dealing with? And who
reply to confirmation emails as..

Would it be daft to NOT send out error messages and the help file? Bear
in mind that this installation now does not use Any of the mailing list
features, and is only used to send out notification emails and alerts to
subscribers. There is no two-way traffic (I know, another app would be
better, but it's been inherited this way, and I'm in no position to
change it till next year). Also, would it be daft to process only the
first command, since the only user interaction with the command system
would be to (un)subscribe, and confirm their (un)subscription..
