Several of the lists I'm on would benefit from having similar squabbles
taken to private e-mail early on.  No matter how often sentiments such
as the above are expressed, though, the poor manners persist.  

Meanwhile, as to the topic of HTML and attachments, I'm very much in the
my server, my rules camp as long as the rules are made known.  I stretch
it a little by allowing list-owners to define how they want their own
mailing lists to function.
