The filter is called administrivia, which you may turn off in
[listname].config. I don't recommend it, due to many rude zubscribers over the
years who have been known to send "Unzubscribe me!" messages to the
list-posting address deliberately, or other zubscribers with good intent who
accidentally send a command to the list-posting address.

It checks the Subject header and the first 10 (or is it 20?) lines of the
message. Even so, it's wise to munge it as zubscribe or zubscriber elsewhere in
the message. It could still be quoted in reply and end up near the top of
subsequent messages.

The words filtered by administrivia are in majordomo.cf, Regular Expressions in
written in perl syntax.
