I am finally getting around to implementing the bounce and bounce-remind
scripts and am having a problem with bounce-remind. The bounces script
does it's job just fine and adds addresses to the bounces list. However,
when I run the remind script, it wants to zubscribe "owner-bounces" to a
new bounces list. Here are the three messages that I get when I run
Subject: SUBSCRIBE bounces email@example.com
firstname.lastname@example.org has been added to bounces.
No action is required on your part.
Subject: MAJORDOMO ABORT (mj_majordomo)
MAJORDOMO ABORT (mj_majordomo)!!
chown(504, 500, "/usr/local/majordomo/lists/bounces.new"): Operation not
and then this because there is no such list...
Subject: Majordomo results: RETURNED MESSAGE TO email@example.com
>>>> The message below, which you sent to firstname.lastname@example.org
>>>> is being returned to you, as only members may send messages.
>>>> To subscribe to the list send the following message from the same
>>>> account/address you are currently using:
>>>> subscribe bounces
>>>> to the address:
>>>> If you ever need to get in contact with the owner of the list,
>>>> Bounces and back on to the other list by sending the
>>>> following to Majordomo@esson.net:
>>>> subscribe list_name
**** subscribe: unknown list 'list_name'.
>>>> unsubscribe bounces
>>> Sorry, an error has occurred while processing your request
>>> The caretaker of Majordomo ( Majordomo-Owner@esson.net ) has been notified
>>> of the problem.
Is there a version newer than Revision 1.9 Date: 1996/12/09 16:49:46?
This is a MD 1.94.5 installation on RH 7.2
Any ideas are always appreciated.
