Take the group write permissions off of all files in the list directory
Chmod -R g-w /spare/usr/local/majordomo/lists/*
Any file that sendmail has to read can not be group writable or it will fail
and this includes ALL the directories in the path.

Subject: Permissions
Since I screwed up the permissions on my Majordomo lists by recursively
changing all permissions to 755, I have not been able to get it back in
operation, despite following the FAQ.
I get either an "error 13", or the following:
550 :include:/spare/usr/local/majordomo/lists/shmrg... Cannot open
/spare/usr/local/majordomo/lists/shmrg: Group writable directory
554 shmrg-list... aliasing/forwarding loop broken
Can anyone help?
Ken Gordon
