also, is it possible to add a config line that bounces back error messages to members? I don't see that in my config file and I googles member_bounce and found nothing. This would help me when members post a file that is too big or if they use the word help in their subject (which I suppose I could do away with that requirement if I could figure it out since people are searching for help in my list sometimes), or if they CC too many people.

If you mean to inform someone who attempts to post to a closed list
to which they are not subscribed, take a look at the following in the list config:
