disabling lists command?

I'd like to disable the lists command so that someone can't email lists
to majordomo @
myserver .
com and get a listing of all the mail lists.

the faq says to put in maillinglist.config /.*/ at the noadvertise
section, so I put on a list:

advertise           <<  END
/.*/
END

but when i email lists to majordomo, the list still shows up.  any ideas
why?
