I’m finding that for a list of 5 people, my email to the list is hung for 8 to 12 hours. There are no attachments—it’s a straightforward email. The list is not moderated. Any ideas of how to troubleshoot or tweak performance?

Thanks.

I've seen this kind of problem, but I have never seen it "caused" by majordomo. In one instance, it was yahoo's "greylisting" and in another it was a problem with the setup of my MTA. Majordomo (when working as it should) just re-sends messages to the addresses in the list's "list file." Once the messages have been handed off to the MTA, it is "done"

Some hints/suggestions:
What does the majordomo log report (if anything)?
What MTA are you using? What do its logs report?
Does email to those addresses using that MTA experience delays when sent "directly" (that is, not using majordomo)?

Sean
