Thanks for replying Rainer. I checked the restrict_post option in
majordomo and it is having no entries there.
Internal users can send email to that list but not the users outside
from our domain. If they send email, they get the below error message:

majordomo .

permission send to this address

majordomo .

User unknown
But this list exists and internal users can send email on this.
My question is, is there any setting in majordomo which can allow
external users to send email on my mailing list?

Most probably, you are looking for restrict_post in
/path/to/yourlist.conf
