I've never heard of this as part of majordomo 1.94.  I have a couple of lists
that have been inactive for years, but would still work if someone emailed
the appropriate address.

There's a few bits of data missing here.  Is this on a server you own, or
a list that's hosted by a service?  Which version of majordomo is it?

My guess here is that it's a list hosted somewhere, and this is something
set up by the hosting company.
