Our mainframe has a nasty habit of assigning "alternate"
accounts to faculty by giving them a new account with a "$" at the
end of their userid. For example, if their account is "ABC", then
they can request a second account, "ABC$". (The purpose is so they
can test out their instructions on a vanilla environment)
So anway, as you can surmise this can spell havoc for UNIX
systems. It seems that Majordomo got mail from one of these
(say "abc$@some.site") and naturally munged it (to "abcsome.site").
Anyone have a fix for Majordomo?
