I have a request for a new feature for MajorDomo. How about something
like a SAMPLE <list> <time> command? It would allow the person interested
in the mailing list to be "subscribed" to the list for a short period of
time. This way, if they don't like the list, they simply wait for the
"sampling" to expire. Or, if they like the list, they can "confirm"
their subscription with the normal SUBSCRIBE command. This allows for
persons to see what the mailing list is like without the hassle of
having to SUBSCRIBE and then UNSUBSCRIBE when you discover that the
list is not what you expected.
I know that this sounds similar to getting the list in a compressed
digest format, but I think that it would be a nice feature to have,
just the same.
