Subject: verifying a user's subscription address?

Does anyone know whether anyone has added the ability for majordomo to send
a verification back to those requesting list subscription if the list requires
that? There has been a lot of false subscription harassment going on and this
kind of verification is very effective at preventing hassle on everyone's part.

I've seen this in another (possibly commercial) mailing list server and it
seems like it wouldn't be too hard to implement in majordomo if someone hasn't
already. Force the person to reply to a verification email (with a "key" of
some sort in the subject to link the reply with the verification attempt) in
order to get themselves added to a list with that address.

Please cc: any replies to me in email directly at kevintx@ministry.paranoia.com

thanks,
kevin
