Well after a little more digging, it seems that the "sh: Memory fault"
errors are actually from Perl itself (the PID gave the clue). Perl4.036
bombs out, Perl5.002 goes beserk. At least I know why my subscribes don't
work; majordomo never gets to complete them. I wonder if this is a perl
library problem with SunOS 4.1.3.
Also, the "unkown" errors 139 & 132 are "unknown" probably because they're
not in err.h. At least, not in ours.
I guess I'll try compiling the POSIX wrapper, although I'm sure that will
completely choke, or cause more errors. All my file perms are okay. I have
yet to get anything written out to my majordomo log file, so that's no
help, either.
I haven't seen much response to this, so I'm CC'ing the bug-reports address
listed in the FAQ.
For the record:
Perl 4.036 & Perl 5.002
SunOS 4.1.3 on a Sparc Classic
Majordomo 1.93
