What happens when as a list-manager I try to unsubscribe somebody else's
address? Does it depend on the list's opening and then (if NOT automatic)
go through the approval process?

Ideally, it would be nice. But I'm a list-manager for a few lists on
ANOTHER system. I don't believe I would have access to the global password
and then I'm still in a bind. A compromise to this is having it
unsubscribe that user to any list that has that password. Thus, if you
have 5 lists that have the same password (generally, a bad idea) you could
unsub any user with the above.
Otherwise, I can think of no good way of doing it except a program that
would use the .majordomo file, which contains each list's password.
Any way it goes, this is DEFINETLY a needed feature...
