Dear Majordomo workers,
I've stumbled across a problem concerning the Approved header (and this may
trigger an Admin request, that's why I wrote dashes in the subject).
We've got a moderated list. When I mail a message to it and use Approved: in
the headers (using Elm's user header options) the message is ok.
However, when I put the Approved: line as the first line of the message, then
all the headers disappear. The To: header is rewritten (owner-list), and
the subject _DISAPPEARS_.
We _do_ need this option, because some owners of the list we run use
a windows mailer (pegasus?) which does not allow insertion of headers.
Being an experienced Perl programmer, I attempted to look in the code in
resend, but I soon lost track due to a large do-while loop.
I checked the faq, but it doesn't mention the subject.
Is there a (known) fix for this problem? If not, can you point me towards a
fix in that direction (e.g. use of the $pre_hdr and $restart variables, and
the way these headers are saved). Of course, I'll share my findings!
Thanks,
piet
