When fixing bugs in resend I decided to leave this in; the presence of an
invalid approved header has (for me) caught spam that otherwise would not
have been caught. Honestly, I can't think of too many legitimate reasons
why a message would come in with an approved header unless someone was
trying to get it through some sort of filter. I suppose a message
gatewayed from a moderated newsgroup to a mailing list might have one, but
I would consider the gateway software to be broken if it did not remove the
header.

alpha7 is current, but it has the same feature.

The problem here is that a general method is difficult to come by. Your
method will probably not work outside of your installation. By all means,
submit a patch which could be included with the program as an example of
how to do it.

Isn't that what majordomo.pl is?
