Probably should be autosubscribed..... thoughts?

I got a message today on one of my lists that looked like the following:
This is an auto list, but I still get non-matching names for approval.

I would think it resonable to equate user@somewhere to user+*@somewhere.
I am runnig Alpha3+ and a few obvious patches, so I am not sure if this have
been fixed in a newer patch release. Comments?
