Oh, dammit, because if you did that, then there'd be nothing left of
worth (because then the README and sample stuff gets attracted to the
Doc directory) in the digest/ directory, which would mean that you
could get rid of a directory at the top level, cleaning things up
slightly.

:-)

You think that's confusing, for some *crazy* reason the source tree
has the Tools stuff in contrib, with an empty (thus misleading) Tools
directory.  Sigh, things you never really notice after awhile...

(I've done the first paragraph, in case you're wondering. :)
