Just to follow through on my previous posting, it appears that some of
the mail is going out before the sendmail abort message that I just
posted. I just got a bounce from address 16 on a list of 230 subscribers
for a 200-line message. A short message goes out OK, which makes me
suggest excessive forking (and I ran out of processes twice today when
MJ was busy).
Anyway, on to another oddity. Mail sent to MJ appears to come from "1",
as the following header lines from a posting show:

>From: sysop@biome.bio.dfo.ca (Bill Silvert)
>To: fisheries@biome.bio.dfo.ca (Fisheries)

The reply_to field in fisheries.config is blank.
