I can't say.  I've not looked closely enough at majordomo to determine
the best way to address this.  I just know that it something that
majordomo should protect itself from.

The patch I provided was simply what I used to ensure that we would
not get bitten again - I would not be at all surprised if there is a
better way to do it.  As far as I can see though, it is not currently
handled anywhere.  

It may be useful to have a config item to allow extras, but things
like majordomo,mailer-daemon,daemon,listserv etc should never be
replied to so should not rely on the admin configuring them to be
skipped.
