Before I launch into making a number of changes to majordomo, resend, et al,
has anyone already done something about any of the following or can anyone
profer reasons why I should avoid do any of the following:
1. Dealing with majordomo commands that have come from mail clients that
hard wrap long lines resulting in (usually) two command that make no
sense, or, worse, an attempt to subscribe the email address
"John Charles Smith" to a list 'cos the email part (<jsmith@foo.com>)
got wrapped onto the next line - particuarly common with any
auth cookie subscribe list-name blah blah commands.
2. Modifying regexp for checking if subject_prefix is already in the
subject line so subjects of the form:
Foo Bar (was: subject_prefix old subject)
do get rewritten as
subject prefix Foo Bar (was: subject_prefix old subject)
3. Fixes to assist onward delivery to picky agents:
a) Removing extra spurious and malformatted Date: headers that seem
to emenate mainlt from the odd prodigy user (tautology?!)
b) Removing non ASCII chars from Subject: headers.
4. Tidying up the odd remaining unescaped '@'.
5. Ensuring resend_host overrides $whereami as far as possible.
6. Implementing the use of digest_rm_footer and digest_rm_header
