Is a message to so many groups warranted?  Please trim the CC line on any
replies.

They can, if the list is so configured.  Look at zubscribe_policy = auto,
or zubscribe_policy = open with an invalid Reply-To: address.  I have no
idea why you would want to allow this, though.  The poor list owner would
immediately start getting bounces.

I dunno; this isn't a sendmail list.  Try comp.mail.sendmail.  My best
guess is that 8.8 does (or can) but nothing else does without hacking
check_compat.
