I seem to have a problem with approving bounced messages via e-mail.
This is perhaps because I fundamentally misunderstand the procedure.

What I am doing:

Copy the bounced message into another e-mail, including header.
In front of the first line of the message headers I put the
following:

approved list password
first header
second header
.......

There are no blank lines or whitespace before the approved
line and the first header of the bounced messageshows up as the next
line, no intervening lines.

The resulting message is then sent to listname@server.com

I am expecting that the result will look to members as though it had
originally come from the poster. Instead, the entire message,
complete with password and headers is being sent with myself shown as
the author and my message subject being used.

What is going on or what am I doing wrong? The procedure seemed to
work for 1.93 but I can no longer be certain as it doesn't happen
very often and my memory doesn't go back that far.

Any assistance would be greatfully appreciated.

MJ 1.94 no patches
SM 8.7.6 patched
HP-UX 10.01

Regards,
Jim
