Is that us ?
I've sent a couple of hints as to a web based system for reading/sending
messages we've built and use on top of majordomo. We made noises about
having a system that takes stuff dynamically (with caching) out of a
"message db" for web page display. We had already considered also pulling
things out to make digests and archives for mail use (conceotually pretty
easy as the "take content out of db" bit is fully abstracted from the
"render in appropriate way" bit - we already have a framed an plain version
for example and an email version is conceptially just another rendering
variant).
My last mail was that we'd discussed things here and were very interested
in making some contributions - in particular seeing if the new "archive
format" for mj and our "message db" format could converge as a starting
point (our current system is somewhat different from what Jason is
proposing). I left it at a "please let us know if there is interest" with
an overview of what we are doing and access to code once we'd done a bit
more documentation following should that be the case - but I didn't hear
back from anyone so we've just continued on our merry way developing it for
our own use.
