Or to put it another way, they have to know the general list mailbox
syntax instead of a priori knowing which mailing list manager software
package is being used for that particular list.
What's the big deal? For minimal support of this RFC, all you need is
an alias pointing to the single mailbox name. That would appear to
satisfy the requirement (though I haven't looked up the complete RFC).
