I've already discussed this at length with Bert offline. His problem and
Russ's have *nothing* in common. Furthermore, Bert's fix breaks things
badly because he's unlocking a file he's still working on. Bert's basic
problem is that AmigaDos doesn't use the same file system paradigm Unix
does, so of course Unix methods won't work.
