OK, here's this week's snapshot:
<URL:ftp://ftp.hpc.uh.edu/pub/majordomo/Majordomo-0.0199710080.tar.gz>.
What's in here:
Wrappers. They were in the last release, too, but I only got one comment.
It should actually compile without problems with mj_cf_old.pl.
Surprisingly, only one person told me that the distribution wouldn't
build. (Yes, feel guilty for not trying it.)
You can use noinform and nolog modes on just about every command.
All commands should now be properly logged, and the owner will be informed
if the inform variable is so set. (Modulo the previous feature.)
A manpage for mj_shell will be built and installed.
More online documentation. commands, admin_commands, admin_configuration
(just a placeholder, really), and admin_passwords. These are rough;
improvements are badly needed.
Moderate internal changes. This may lead to some foul-ups; hopefully
testing will uncover any such mistakes. (I fixed all that I found.)
remember that warnings are considered to be bugs.
Lots of bugfixes and improvements.
I hope to stop playing with the infrastructure soon and get back to adding
the rest of the basic resend functionality necessary to run my lists. The
fact that I've had trouble getting messages out on this list is pushing me
to run something 2.0 based, if only for testing.
Please test this. Remember that you don't have to add any aliases to test,
and if you're root-impaired then you can install it (and run it) as
yourself without using root at all.
