Well, not really. Interfaces are supposed to do an initial access check
call in the 'access' request to see if a user is even allowed to access the
server; it could be passed in there, I suppose. Otherwise I don't have
any way to pass something like that into the core. It's really just an
interface detail.
Besides, after the user has navigated a few generated pages of the web
interface, isn't the referrer lost? (Humor me here; I don't really do web
things.)

I don't understand what you mean here. The web interface is (intended to
be) integrated into Majordomo; you can't visit any old site and have it
pump commands into your Majordomo server (unless it just sends email).

Don't those just send email? In which case the interface is 'email'.

But then doesn't that get logged by your web server? I think that's
perhaps a better place to get that kind of data.
