I would agree to every (reasonable) way of selecting the desired
language. Discussing the way of selecting a language implies that it is
already decided to have MJ serve different languages. I would like to
discuss the latter beforehand.

I read between the lines of some postings that a new release of MJ is
growing in the dark (2.0?). Will this version still have the
administrative messages hard coded into the scripts? (I guess it will
:-( ) What about the guys developing MJ? Would you appreciate to have
variables in the scripts rather than raw text and have the variables
being set by a config file?

I do not want to argue about english (american english) as the common
language for the Web, the Net, the world, the space or anything else...
But for some people it adds unneccessary barriers to exploit and enjoy
the benefits of the digital world. It would be a great help to have the
opportunity for MJ to serve different languages.

And remember: a couple of days ago we had Latin as the world's language.
It could be Serbo-Croatic tommorrow! Shouldn't MJ be prepared for those
days?

Mathias
