Yeah, rule #3: don't post past midnight.

OK, but what, then, is the message?  Is the preamble not part of the
message?  Remember that when the moderator gets the message all wrapped up
in its CONSULT message as content-type: message/rfc822, and we simply
cannot assume what all of the various mailers are going to do to it.  (Note
that I changed BOUNCE to CONSULT because people have always thought that
the former was some kind of error.)

I know it's important; that's why I'm asking about it.  The problem is that
when it comes to broken mailers, I'd never use one, so I don't know all of
the ways they can screw this up.

One could make a good argument that tokens already handle most of the
problems, and that there are some things that broken mailers just aren't
going to be able to do.  I of course will try to support what I can, but
there has to be a limit somewhere.  Keep in mind the string of recent
messages in Majordomo-users where the user was using something Netscape and
broken and couldn't get the Approved: header in early enough.
