Jerry Peek <jpeek@jpeek.com> is thought to have said:
jpeek> [I posted this 1/1/98 but never saw it on the list. Re-posting:]

jpeek> I don't think 1.94.4 has an "unzubscribe_policy" config file variable
jpeek> yet, eh -- just a "zubscribe_policy"? If that's so, the confirmation
jpeek> message sent by 1.94.4 shouldn't say that it could be confirming
jpeek> deletion from a list. I'll attach a patch.
>From one of my 1.94.4 lists:
# unsubscribe_policy [enum] (open) <majordomo> /open;closed;auto/
# One of three values: open, closed, auto. Open allows people to
# unsubscribe themselves from the list. Auto allows anybody to
# unsubscribe anybody to the list without maintainer approval. The
# existence of the file <listname>.auto is the same as specifying
# the value auto. Closed requires maintainer approval for all
# unsubscribe requests to the list. In addition to the keyword, if
# the file <listname>.closed exists, it is the same as specifying
# the value closed. The value of this keyword overrides the value
# supplied by any existent files.
unsubscribe_policy = closed
However your point still stands since there doesn't appear to be a
+confirm modifier (although perhaps there should be).
