I don't believe I ever said that.  I certainly didn't mean that.  My point
is that it's a pretty weird thing to make the action of leaving a list add
you to an exclude list.

The bottom line is that it can be done, it isn't all that hard, and I'll
even be happy to tell you how to go about adding it to 2.0.  (Sorry,
though; I haven't the time to write it for you.)

I won't say that the naive implementation would be terribly efficient,
though.
