[ David, please be careful with your quoting and attributions. This

I'm not sure why this is spilling over into Mj-workers, but the
thing you need to realize is that Mj 1.xx does not and will never
handle MIME, therefore Bill's advice was on target to a solution.
*That's* reality. Mj2 (currently in pre-alpha) handles MIME and
should solve all your problems. Check the Mj-workers archive at
http://www.hpc.uh.edu/majordomo-workers to learn about the Mj2 effort
and status.

As for Outlook or any other mail MAIM... er... MIMEing mailer not going
away and increasing in number, that's not the issue. The issue is
whether or not Outlook expects to interact with the mail system at large
and legacy mail handlers specifically. Obviously you have it configured
to not be backward compatible, so why are you complaining when it's not?
Someday, non-MIME mailers will have all gone to their well-deserved
rest, and compatibility won't be of concern. Of course by then the
MIME-enabled stuff will be the uncooperative legacy code that has to be
accommodated. ;-)
