Here's a solution for the "aliases" issue.

I know that in at least the sendmail I'm using (v8.8.8), that you can use
the PLUS (+) sign in addresses. So  brozen+majordomo@torah.org and
brozen+jason@torah.org are BOTH equivalent to brozen@torah.org

So what's the point? Programs like procmail that filter the TO header can
make use of this, since all three get delivered to the same place.

Why not have majordomo use this as well in cases such as
listname+subscribe and listname+unsubscribe ??

It requires NO extra aliases, just requires the listname alias to get
parsed. That means it could be turned off (namely, ignored) in a majordomo
config variable, although there's really no reason to do that.
