Why?

What if I want to know how many posts a certain user has made on the list?
on the whole domain? Or to find out how much K he has sent through the
lists. A few other things could be logged.

I personally, have no use for per-user (we generate all the content on our
lists in-house) -- but I still think that it's a valid feature.
