I'm not sure if this is a problem with Majordomo or qmail, but I figured I'd
try here first since (1) Majordomo is the one of the two which is a
development version and (2) I read mj-workers regularly, but none of the qmail
lists. :)
Basically, if I send a request to Majordomo with a parenthesized comment in my
From: line, i.e.:
From: rms39@columbia.edu (Russell Steinthal)
the return message from Majordomo bounces. If I omit the comment (i.e. send
from just "rms39@columbia.edu"), everything works fine. An example series of
messages is included below.
I'm fairly new to qmail, so it's entirely possible that something's just
messed up in my qmail configuration, but... Ideas?
(We're using qmail version 1.01, Majordomo II updated from the CVS 11/17 or
so).
Thanks for any help.
-Russell
PS: In an unrelated problem, I'm not sure why Majordomo responded that the
token was unknown, but I haven't tried to isolate that problem yet...
I sent the following message to my Mj2 test server:

Majordomo then processed the request (I received my copy of the message in
