I agree, and coding in arbitrarily complicated decisions is probably a bit
out of the scope of the list manager, at least at this stage. However, a
simple flattening of multipart/alternative and conversion of text/html on
its own to text/plain is probably most of the functionality that people
want. (Well, that and tossing images in the trash.)
The examples are the kind of things that I'd just leave along and not
expect to be able to teach the MLM to deal with. They seem sufficiently
rare that it probably isn't worth worrying about too much. (I.e. I've
never seen any of those anywhere outside of the horrific testcases I cook
up to test this stuff.)

I have lists where about 50% of the traffic is
multipart/alternate(text/plain, text/html). Ugh.
