Well, we can produce any number of any kind of digest we want, but it seems
pretty wasteful to grind CPU (and limited coding time) to make a whole pile
of things that are of very limited usefulness.

I suppose an interpretation of rfc1153 digests as 'text only' is reasonable
and compliant with the 'spirit' of the standard.  If you can deal with
MIME, you can get the digest in MIME form.  Hmmm.

It also gives a convenient name for rfc1153 digests as 'text'.
