I think not. On my server, the most common flame is about moderation
not about specific words. There are some who say limiting the number
of posts per day equates to censorship - imagine what Igor Livshits
would say if you distributed his posts with Igor Liv[removed]s or
Igor Livs***s instead! Search any phone book for any single word and
you'll probably find it somewhere. Put any filter in place and someone
will say "Cr@p, I can just change a few letters and get thru that
zhitty thing!" Is it true that on your lists people don't care about
mispelled profanity, only properly spelled profanity?

Sed passes are best made in a pipe, before getting to Majordomo, IMHO.
I'd vote against slowing down the tool for something so simple to
implement externally. You've got to set up some aliases anyway, just
stick a filter in there.
