Hmm.. I'd really like to have such a feature. This report would be
generated as soon as at least one attempt has been made for each
subscribed email address to transmit the post to the MX host for that
address. Then the report can contain information on how many deliveries
appear to be successful (i.e. the MX host has accepted the message for
delivery), how many gave a fatal error and how addresses need further
delivery attempts.

However, Majordomo does not contact the recipent's MX hosts directly.
The current strategy is that this is done by sendmail or qmail, running
either at the remote host or at a smarthost, and Majordomo talks to
this MTA via SMTP (which makes it neigh impossible to get at the desired
information.) However, I suppose it would be possible to design a way to
run sendmail with the -v option and analyze the output that this
generates.
