Subject: "Friendly Names" in subscriber lists

One of my list owners just pointed out the fact that when a user
subscribes themself to a list the "friendly name" is stripped off and only
the E-mail address appears in the subscriber list.  However, on a manual
subscribe, the "friendly name" remains, example below:

I'm guessing there is a setting similar to Majordomo 1.xx's "strip" here
somewhere?
