The tool in question _is_ Sendmail. Using standard config lines in an mc
file. Identical to the one that came with my distribution except
for uncommenting lines that enable virtusertables, etc. Magic=0. Sendmail,
I believe, is the authority on its own alias files.
I've seen nothing to convince me that the comma is useful in the context
of MJ2. In fact, I was under the impression that MJ2 speaks SMTP and
supplies the envelope sender directly, in which case I don't see how it
could be an issue. More to the point, it's not an issue in my completely
generic setup AND it didn't work with the comma. As an additional
datapoint, from the createlist helpfile:
NOTE: As of 1/99, the owner-listname alias has a trailing comma which
must be removed or the sendmail alias will not work.
Now is there anyone actually using Mj2 with Sendmail that has it working
_with_ the stray comma? If so, which Sendmail version?
